Brooklyn Bridge Park - The one for meeting up with friends
If you had stopped by the Brooklyn Bridge waterfront a few years ago and saw it today, you wouldn't believe the transformation. This park has amped up in accordance with the huge swell of population heading to Brooklyn; barbecue structures, playgrounds, plenty of grass for picnics and even courts for all sorts of sports like football, basketball, volleyball, and more. Oh and not to forget the vistas of lower Manhattan, Statue of Liberty and the bridges over the East River to make the day even more surreal. Sunset Park - The one for the best sunset (duh) As dusk approaches, this park certainly lives up to its name. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy the NYC sunset after a full day of exploring this cool little neighbourhood on the river: Bustling shops and restaurants represent nationalities from all over the world and while this little corner of Brooklyn has not yet fallen victim to such gentrification as its neighbours, will it really remain a forgotten enclave much longer with such incredible views available? Hillside Park - The one to bring the dog Let the dog run free in this park stretching over a blissful two acres in Brooklyn Heights. The woodchip-covered ground is perfect for rambunctious play and plenty of trees abound for racing around. Multiple entrances, water fountains for both dogs and humans alike, and park benches and tables lend a friendly neighbourhood feel to this park where your dog can run himself and his friends ragged! |
