Top 5 Breakfast Spots in Granada

Granada cafés excel in providing comfortable and amicable locations to linger over toasted baguettes, freshly made orange juice and espresso-style coffees. Not to forget the iconic churros y chocolate, we'll let you know the best places to go when you are looking for a tasty breakfast in Granada.

Here is what we recommend:

Café 4 Gatos
Visitors and locals alike love this small breakfast spot for its eclectic menu, reasonable pricing and its lovely view of the Alhambra from the outside terrace.
Find varied tostadas such as: Manchego y jamón serrano; Aubergine and goats cheese; Tuna and caramelised onion... we could go on! Definitely worth an early morning visit or any time strolling down Cuesta San Gregorio from the top of the Albaicín towards the popular shopping spot Calle Calderería Nueva.

Address: Placeta Cruz Verde, 6 (Cuesta San Gregorio)

Cafetería Lisboa
Set in a handy location at the edge of Plaza Nueva, this little suntrap serves indoors and outdoor tables a variety of Spanish-style breakfasts with some English specials thrown in: this is a great spot to get that English breakfast you've been craving!
We advise sitting outside and watching the world go by on busy Calle Reyes Católicos and sipping that perfect café con leche.

Address: Corner of Calle Reyes Católicos & Plaza Nueva

Alhambra Cafetería
You won't want to go anywhere else in Granada for churros y chocolate - let me repeat that! The chocolate is the thickest and creamiest, the churros are freshly made in front of your eyes and if you go anywhere else, you're just cheating yourself. Sit outside in the lovely Plaza Bib-Rambla to watch the morning hustle and bustle - if you sit inside you run the risk of getting deafened by the loudest kitchen in the world.

Address: Plaza de Bib-Rambla, 27

Loft Café
Set on the lovely neighbourhood street of San Antón, Loft Café delights customers with delicious homemade breakfasts, coffee a-plenty and friendly staff.
Open early so you can pop in to stock up before a full day of sightseeing, this modern and stylish café is open all day so you can keep coming back for more meals.

Address: Calle San Antón, 6

Taberna de JAM
This is the spot to come to if you are craving a hearty breakfast of tostadas loaded with delicious aceite (extra virgin olive oil) and beautifully sliced jamón. Or stick with the mixta, a buttered tostada with your choice of jam. Whatever you choose, it'll be delicious paired with their café con leche and a friendly smile.

Address: Plaza de los Campos, 1
